  • Mark Seaman, CPG

    Founder and President

    Mark founded Point Blue to provide clients with a better option. He has more than 30 years of experience working closely with clients and regulatory agencies to navigate environmental laws, guidelines, and best practices. Mark’s project and program experience includes property transactions (Phase I and Phase II), due care, baseline environmental assessments (BEAs), site investigations, site remediation, vapor intrusion, groundwater monitoring, expert witness testimony, third party reviews, and brownfield programs for clients across the midwest. Mark, licensed as a Certified Professional Geologist, has a degree in Geology from the University of Michigan.

  • Brad Shook

    Consultant

    The Point Blue professor, Brad brings 30 years of professional experience in the industrial hygiene consulting industry to the Point Blue team. He has served as Director of Environmental Services, performing all phases of investigation, sampling, report generation and project management of Phase I, Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Underground Storage Tank sites, and soil/ groundwater remediation systems. Brad provides our clients with significant experience conducting Industrial Hygiene studies for the manufacturing and construction trades.

  • Chloe Borton, PG

    Marketing Director

    Chloe, a Professional Geologist, has 10 years of technical experience in the environmental consulting industry. Her role with Point Blue combines assisting clients with environmental due diligence services as well as leading all marketing activities. Chloe specializes in Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments, Baseline Environmental Assessments (BEAs), due care evaluations, groundwater monitoring, and vapor intrusion projects. Chloe has a degree in Environmental Geosciences from DePauw University and is most in her element while in the great outdoors hiking, gardening, and fishing.

  • Gaye Blind, CNSP

    Natural Resources Lead | Senior Biologist

    Gaye has over 40 years in the field of Natural Resources. Her expertise crosses many boundaries, from uplands to wetlands, Inland lakes and streams, to Great Lakes shorelines. Gaye investigates natural resources concerns across disciplines and works with landowners to meet regulatory requirements in critical dunes, high risk erosion areas, and wetlands; and with permitting, buildability, site restoration, erosion control, water quality, and lakes, ponds, and fisheries management. Gaye is a Certified Natural Shoreline Professional (CNSP), and holds a B.S. in Wildlife Science from Purdue University with advanced studies in Environmental Biology from Western Michigan University. In her spare time Gaye enjoys educating and assisting boaters on Lake Michigan.

  • Mark A. Turner

    Characterization Team Lead

    Mark has over 20 years of experience in the environmental consulting and construction industry. As the Characterization Team Lead at Point Blue he leads site investigation project design and implementation, project oversight and management, and sampling collection efforts. Mark specializes in Risk Based Corrective Action (RBCA), Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, Baseline Environmental Site Assessments (BEAs), due care investigations and evaluations, vapor intrusion investigations, and is a certified asbestos inspector. Mark earned a B.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife Management from Lake Superior State University. He enjoys chasing salmon and steelhead on the Great Lakes and their tributaries or canoeing in the beautiful Boundary Waters in Minnesota.

  • Alec Kraushaar

    Natural Resources | Project Biologist

    Alec has over five years in the field of Natural Resources. His experience covers many fields, from Great Lakes and inland shorelines, wetlands to prairies, and upland northern forest. He has worked with invasive species management, threatened and endangered species protection, ecological restoration, small mammal and parasitic research, and laboratory sampling. Alec specializes in Natural Resources services at Point Blue and works with landowners to meet regulatory requirements in critical dunes, high risk erosion areas, and wetlands; and with permitting, buildability, site restoration, erosion control, water quality, and lakes, ponds, and fisheries management. Alec also assists with Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments. Alec holds a B.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife Management and a second B.S. in Environmental Science both from Northern Michigan University.

    Chief Operating Officer

    Sandy keeps the entire Point Blue team on course. Sandy is responsible for Point Blue’s day-to-day administrative and operational functions. Sandy’s strong managerial, communication, and leadership skills are an integral part of our team at Point Blue. Sandy has over 35 years in the office management environment. Sandy is a master at juggling multiple tasks, using her diverse skills and experience in accounting, human resources, and client services. Sandy’s keen attention to detail and strong knowledge of professional services steadies the Point Blue ship.

  • Shea H. Muller, PE

    Senior Engineer/Remediation Team Lead

    Shea leads the Point Blue team in implementing best practice remedial solutions for diverse sites. He has over 30 years of environmental consulting experience and holds an engineering degree from Villanova University. Licensed in Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois, Shea provides clients with expertise in the remediation and closure of impacted sites. His expertise includes remedial investigations and design, feasibility studies, construction specifications, storm water management, and permitting. He has a proud track record of managing projects, implementing remedial actions, and meeting deliverables while adhering to budgets.

  • Marcy Wade

    Team Leader, Due Diligence

    Marcy has over a decade of professional safety experience. Marcy is responsible for preparing and managing Phase I ESAs, and is also involved with Phase II Site Investigations, asbestos surveys, vapor intrusion evaluation/sampling, and BEAs. She prepares and reviews site specific health and safety plans, provides safety review/planning associated with demolition and site remediation projects, and provides regulatory review support. Marcy earned her B.S. in Anthropology from Central Michigan University. Marcy was an Aviation Electrician in the U.S. Navy and served during Desert Shield/Desert Storm. She enjoys watching sports and bonfires with friends.

  • Blair Zordell

    Environmental Engineer

    Blair is a veteran field scientist for Point Blue. He is involved with Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, sample collection including soil, groundwater, and soil gas, data management, and assists with Phase I Environmental Site Assessments. Before working for Point Blue, Blair worked for over 30 years in the electrical generation industry specializing in environmental science and chemistry. In his free time, Blair enjoys kayaking, mountain biking, gravel road bike racing and cross-country skiing.

  • Joe Trojan

    Project Manager

    Joe has over 36 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry. As Project Manager, he oversees environmental project management, project scoping and design, data reduction/interpretation, field sampling (soil, groundwater, soil gas, and asbestos), various oversight activities, and technical document preparation. Joe earned his B.S in Geological Sciences from Michigan State University. In his spare time, he enjoys playing drums in a contemporary jazz big band.

    Project Biologist

    Rachele has over 5 years in the field of Natural Resources. Her experience has centered on wetlands, forests, and inland streams and rivers. She’s assessed streams for erosion, surveyed and removed invasive species, helped run a state game area, taught camps on watershed ecology, and more. Rachele specializes in Natural Resources services at Point Blue. She works with landowners to meet regulatory requirements on sensitive lands, and with permitting, buildability, site restoration, erosion control, and water quality, as well as lakes, ponds, and fisheries management. She holds a B.S. in Biology with a concentration in Ecology, Organismal Diversity, and Evolution from Eastern Michigan University. She enjoys riding her horse, biking, walking in the woods, and listening to audio dramas.

  • Will Combs

    Project Biologist

    Will provides technical assistance to site characterization services in the field involving environmental sample collection activities (soil, groundwater, air, and soil gas) as well as research support for Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, data management, and assistance with technical reports.  Will also assists with various ecological projects including assembling natural resources permit applications; ecological assessments; biological surveys; and technical reporting.  Will holds a B.A in Biology from Franklin College and in his spare time enjoys birding, bowling, and gardening.
